RAJAGIRI COLLEGE OF SOCIAL SCEINCES
Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Rajagiri) was established as a result of the indefatigable industry and foresight of the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) were the first indigenous religious congregation for men in India). The School of Social Work was one of the pioneering institutions in South India, establishing programmes and setting the standards for the field. The School of Management is nationally ranked and recognized. The School of Computer Science and the School of Library and Information Science maintain the axiomatic spirit of Rajagiri - ‘Relentlessly Towards Excellence’.
THE CONFERENCE
The emergence of new, complex social health concerns demands that the public health field strengthen its capacity to respond. Academic institutions, Hospital settings, NGOs, and Government agencies and schemes are playing a vital role in improving the public health. Collaborative and interdisciplinary practice competencies are increasingly viewed as key components of public health training. The social work profession, with its long-standing involvement in public health and emphasis on ecological approaches, has been a partner in many interdisciplinary community-based efforts. This conference represents an exploratory effort to evaluate the scope and impact of the integration of public health and social work.
DYUTI 2013, International Conference on Global Public Health and Social Work; Trends, Challenges, Agenda tries to look into recent trends and identify the unfinished and new agendas in Global Public Health.
